Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Grooves website and mobile application. By creating an account or using Grooves, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Using Grooves

Grooves is a music-rating and social platform that lets users rate and review music, build collections, follow other users, and share content. You must be at least 13 years old to use Grooves. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for activity conducted through your account.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Grooves to:

• break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or facilitate harmful activity;
• harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse another person;
• post unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful content;
• interfere with, probe, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to Grooves; or
• use automated methods to scrape or access the service without permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create. You give Grooves a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, improve, and promote the service. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where copies must be retained for legal, security, or backup purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to post your content.

Subscriptions and Billing

Grooves may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, including Certified Music Lover. The price, billing period, included benefits, and any trial or introductory offer are shown before you confirm a purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it through your app-store account settings before the end of the current billing period.
• Renewal is charged at the price shown by the applicable app store. Prices may vary by country, currency, taxes, or later price changes presented by the app store.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting Grooves does not itself cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by the store that processed the purchase and are subject to that store’s policies and applicable law.

Third-Party Services

Grooves may link to or integrate with third-party services. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and Grooves is not responsible for third-party content or services outside our control.

Moderation and Account Termination

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce these Terms, or protect the service. You may stop using Grooves or delete your account at any time. Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active app-store subscription.

Service Availability and Disclaimers

Grooves is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that every feature will always remain available, or that user-provided content is accurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grooves will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of the service. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Grooves changes or as required by law. We will post the updated Terms here and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice before material changes take effect.

Apple App Store Terms

If you use Grooves on an Apple device, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies.
